It's been awhile again!

Hi Everyone!!

How are you all?!? Good I do hope :) Soooo sorry it's been such a long time since I last updated the blog, things have been busy around here! I realize that i have made it most of the way through the year with only one or two blog posts....I hope to make them more regular once things settle down!

I have started a new job after the old one got moved to the state above me (queensland) - I did go up there for a few weeks but in the end turned the job down and found another! So that has been keeping me busy.

It was Nan's birthday at the beginning of the month and my friend Lara made her the most wonderful cow cake! I'll put a pic on the blog, it was simply amazing! :) We also celebrated Ga & Pa's 60th Wedding anniversary - they had a dinner at a local pub and then everyone went back to their house for cake and speeches! 60 years is quite a feat!

So that's it from me, will try and post more often...hope alls well with you all.

Dad's Birthday & St. Pattys Day

Hi All!

How are you? Good I do hope! Clearly I am a bit behind schedule with my blog posts...it's Easter Sunday and I am putting up photos of Dad's birthday and St. Pattys day but oh well!?!? We celebrated Dad's birthday by going fishing off the rocks at Avoca Beach and then we had dinner at a Belgian beer bar in the city.

AND Terry - these photos are for you! I made my own soda bread based off the recipe you gave me! Impressed?!? hehe. It wasn't as good as yours but it was still yummy! I thought you would like some photos so here they are! =)

Hi Everyone!

How are you all? Good I do hope! Well last weekend Chris and Simone, two of my great friends from school got married! It was really awesome that I was able to be back here for it and part of the celebrations - if we can do our math right we have been friends for 14 years!

The wedding was a great day and night, everything went off without a hitch and Simone had such a lovely bride glow about her! Both her and Chris just looked so happy!

Australia Day!

Hi Guys,

How are you all? Good I do hope! Well here is a (very) late Australia Day post! As I said in my last post we had a bbq with some friends - it was actually a lovely day weather wise, so we had a swim and then went across to the park to play some cricket! The game was perhaps slightly hindered by the fact the majority of us there have lived out of australia for most of our lives and not only can't play cricket but are not too good with the heat/sun/bushland! It made for a hilarious game! =)

Ga & Pa came down for a late celebration of Pa's birthday - we gave them tickets to go and see Mumma Mia so they went and saw that and had a good time.

Aside from that Meish is enjoying her job, I am still working my two jobs while I try and decide what to do next...and Mum and Dad are landscaping the garden at the moment! =) So we are all keeping busy and out of trouble!

Hi All,

Happy 2010! I do hope the year is treating you well thus far =)

Things are moving along here, although the weather has been extremely fickle -- yesterday it was 42C (108F) and today it is misty rain and 22C (71F)! Meish started her new job at MediaSmart (http://www.mediasmart.com.au) last Monday, the position works with the digital advertising world and so far she is really excited to get into it. =)

This coming Tuesday is Australia Day here, so we shall be having a barbecue complete with a cricket game or two! Hopefully I shall get some shots and post them faster than I am posting the photos below!

Mum and Dad went to Orange to visit my grandparents for my Grandpa's birthday last week (they live in the country) and as they were driving back over the Blue Mountains they stopped at one of the many roadside fruit stalls and brought up big! So today Mum and I have made peach jam, stewed peaches, the nectarines are stewing now and we have to make a peach cobbler and perhaps something with plums before the day is out! Since it's pretty crappy weather out it's a yummy way to pass a Sunday!

Birthdays / Christmas Fun!

Hi All,

Again I apologize for the length between posts! I've been working two part time jobs, which seems to be adding up to more than full time work - especially since one of them is retail and it is the holiday season!

Everyone is well here, we are all still full from Christmas celebrations! Unfortunatly it was a rainy day here in Sydney...we were hoping for a lovely sunny and hot christmas but no such luck! Rain or no rain we had a great time. My grandparents came down to Sydney from the country, Chuck is out here visiting for a few weeks and Andrew joined us for Christmas which made the dinner table lovely and full! =)

I shall put some photos up from both mine and Meisha's birthdays, as well as a shot or two from Christmas! I hope everyone is well and I wish you all a wonderful, healthy and happy 2010!

Hi Everyone!

How are you all? Good I do hope. Sorry it has been such a long time since I last blogged, life has been a tad busy! We moved Nan out of our house and into her old house which we had been renting while we were away -- although the move was a little hectic she seems really settled and content away from all our crazy and noise! =)

Our stuff arrived, horribly packed, from Jersey last tuesday! We currently have the living and family room unpacked and looking nice - the rest of the house is still a box jungle! We are slowly getting there, but after 2 weeks of packing and unpacking and chaos we are all a little sick of it all! Hopefully one more week will see our bedrooms unpacked - I am looking forward to not waking up to a wall of boxes! =)

Unfortunately the guys who packed us up out of the apartment where, as we feared at the time, highly useless and so it has been a task finding things in mislabeled boxes, not wrapped correctly or sometimes even at all! They even snapped one of Dad's fishing rods into three pieces so that it fit into a box! haha...who does that!?

Yesterday, we took the day off to celebrate Thanksgiving! Yes I know it was a few days late, and on the wrong side of the world BUT it was wonderful none the less! We had all the food we would normally have, including sweet potato casserole and stove top stuffing which we carried back from the states with us! We all know how i love the stove top stuffing! haha. So all in all, it was a good first thanksgiving in Australia, great food surrounded by people we love! =)

So I shall stop my rambling and post some photos for you all to take a look at. I hope all is well with everyone.

Hi Loves,

How are you all? Good I do hope! Well just a quick post to say I've made it back to Australia! It took me ages as I had to first catch a train to Paris, and then a flight to Dubai and then fly to Sydney but finally, here i am! =)

Alls well here, I am just laying low until I get over the jet lag, today I was brave enough to drive on the wrong side of the road to the shops to get Nan and I some food! AND i didn't crash! woohoo! =)

Hi All,

How are you? Good I do hope! =) Well somehow, (I am not sure how the time went so fast) our 3 weeks are up in France and it's time to get on another plane! =) Meish and Andrew have already headed off to start their Italian Adventure, Mum and Dad head back to Jersey tomorrow and I am flying the long way home to Australia!

The Castle at La Barroux, it was built in the 12th Century and during WW2 occupied by the Nazi's who burnt it down when they left. They are half way through restoring it now.

France, Week One

Hi Everyone!

How are you all? Good I do hope! =) I finally have a minute and some photos to throw up here on the blog for you all. We have been taking it easy the last few days, Dad is slowly getting over his cold and us girls are using the time to work on our tans. It’s a well-earned rest.

We have ventured to a few small towns around the area, Gigondas, Vacuaqures, Sarrians and Velleron yesterday to go to their fruit and vegetable market – it really put the farmer’s market in Westfield to shame! We got lots and lots of fresh produce, and most things were 1 Euro a bucket, 4 eggplants for a euro! Amazing!

We have been eating lots of lovely food, Johanna – if I could send you all this cheese I see around me I so would! You would love it! Meish has been cooking for us most nights, and they are always scrumptious dishes. And of course we have been making a morning pilgrimage to the bakery for croissants and pain au chocolat. Yummmm.

So that’s about it, we have a few adventures planned out, a trip tomorrow to a small island town for their market, a trip to the lavender fields if we can find one that has not yet been harvested, and of course there are a few more vineyards to be visited! So I had best get on with it, we have to come to a bar in town to get internet so the visits are always quick stops on the way somewhere.

San Francisco!!

Hi All!

How are you? Good I do hope! We are here in San Francisco, we arrived yesterday and have been having a splendid time!

We walked part of the Golden Gate Bridge, which was kinda scary as there were bikes and cars and people and it was just very hectic! Still, it was an awesome thing to do! We have explored the area known as Fisherman's Wharf, watched the cute Sea Lions who live at Pier 39, been on a trolley to the Union Square Area as well as Chinatown and Downtown areas!

Last night we went out to San Bruno and met Andrea and Stephan (friends who use to live in New Jersey with us) and some of their friends at a Mexican restaurant. It was great to catch up with them, they seem to be enjoying life out here on the West Coast!

Today we did more exploring and then caught a boat out to Alcatraz which was awesome. For those of you who do not know, it is an island in the middle of San Francisco Bay that use to house a maximum security federal prison - I guess because there have been many movies made in Alcatraz it made the whole place seem oddly familiar, yet totally creepy. It was just awesome to see!

Then tonight we had dinner with one of my friends from college, Stacy who lives out here! Tomorrow Mum, Dad and Meish are heading back to Jersey and I am going to stay a few days longer with Stacy and her boyfriend, Trev. I am looking forward to catching up with them both!

Sonoma Valley, California

Hello Everyone!

How are you? Good I do hope! =)

So today was spent traveling around several wineries around this area - the Sonoma Valley. It is a very pretty area, and at times it even looked like it could be somewhere in Australia! They have gum trees here in California, and the area is really quite dry. The combination of which means that in parts, and with a little bit of imagination, you could be somewhere out by Orange looking at the vineyards out there!

We had lunch over looking the Sonoma Valley Dam, and then dinner here in the hotel as we had done a lot of driving and just wanted an easy answer to the question of dinner!

How are you? Good I do hope! I'm trying something different today with the photos and the stories. Hope you like it!

This morning I was greeted by Monkey, sitting in my seat in the car, wearing the hat of an emperor...

Meish then told me that it was nice having me as a sister and good luck. Clearly Monkey was taking my place on the road trip and I was to be left in the small, strange town we stayed in last night.

Luckily I sweet talked Monkey into taking the middle seat and jumped into the car...

As we began today's journey, we stopped to drive through a giant redwood tree! As you do around here! The tree is still living, it just has a convenient car sized hole at the bottom of it. For those of you with good enough screens, you can see Dad poking his head out of the car!

After about four hours (or there abouts) in the car we made it to today's destination, Rohnert Park and found the In N Out Burger. Meish had been told that we had to go there and get hamburgers so go there we did!

We got a hamburger, and a cheeseburger, some fries and a vanilla milkshake. As we were waiting for the order we could see the people, washing the potatoes, cutting them up and making them into fries. Right before our eyes!

Dad was happy that we finally made it to Rohnert Park and fed him a hamburger, apparently it was very tasty!

Even Meish ate some hamburger!!! I had to take photographic evidence as not many people will believe me she had some. What a cute Meishey.

Since we finally made it to a place that was hot and we didn't have to wear jeans and jumpers we quickly checked into our hotel and hit the pool! It took a bit of convincing but we got Mum in the water. =)

Meish took some photos of me, some flattering, some not so.

So I took some photos of her, and they all turned out spectacularly.

Now after a long day, we are all tucked up in bed ready to face a big day wine tasting again tomorrow. Until next time folks...

Avenue of the Giants, California

Hi All,

How are you? Good I do hope! =)

Today we drove down from Oregon into California through what they call "The Avenue of the Giants" - it is a national park that has Redwood trees in it bigger than you can imagine trees can be!

Before we left we had an early morning walk on the beach, and on the way down we saw some amazing coast line, but the redwood trees very much stole the day. We got there just as the mid afternoon sun began trickling though the leaves, it wasn't hot but it wasn't cold either.

The tallest tree we saw standing was 383 feet tall, and as you will see below, had a giant circumference. Mum and Meish stretched themselves out and held hands around it's trunk but didn't even cover 1/4 of the base of the tree. There were many fallen trees that had their root system exposed and we saw one fallen tree that had a root system at least 3 times taller than I was (it was laying down exposed). Some of the trees in the park are more than 1,000 years old.

It was just amazing. Most of the good photos are in files that are too big for me to put on this computer, but I shall put a few below anyhow...the really good ones shall have to wait until I am back home with my computer! Okay, thats it from me! I am exhausted, its time for my beauty sleep!

Hi Everyone!

How are you all? Good I do hope! Today was another long car day - we left Portland and drove down to Gold Beach which is about 6 hrs drive south of where we woke up!

It is very pretty down here, we are staying not far from the beach and if it were not FREEZING then it would be fun to go down there for a paddle! Once we got here we went down and watched the Salmon fishing at the mouth of the river, and then headed off and had another yummy dinner!

Tomorrow we are continuing down the coast into California.

Hi Everyone!

How are you all? Good I do hope! Today we went into Portland and had a look around - I must admit I was not overly impressed with it. Perhaps we just didn't know where the nice places to go were, but from what we saw, it was nothing special really. I think it would not be too bad if you lived there, but to visit, not so much.

Meish, after a trip to the drs to make sure her knee was okay, (it is, she just needs to rest it) headed off to meet with one of her friends from high school. So Mum, Dad and I caught the street car around and had a look at the town. We had lunch in a local brewery, called Deschutes. They specifically focused on making very hoppy beers, and had a few organic ones as well.

Then this afternoon we went to this place called VooDoo Donuts which Meish had heard about. We stood in line for 40 minutes to get these donuts! haha. But I must admit, it was kinda worth it! They had a crazy range of donuts - including maple flavoured donuts with bacon on top! There is a photo down below in case you don't believe me! We tried to get Mum to buy one of these donuts but she chickened out at the last minute! Meish got a donut that was a in the shape of a person with a pretzel "voodoo pin" sticking out of it! haha.

We came back out to the outskirts of Portland for dinner and are now setting about packing up so we can hop up in the morning and move on to our next destination!

Hi Everyone,

I do hope all is well with you! Today was the first day of our trip that involved vineyards! I know, I was also impressed that we survived a WHOLE 13 days of a trip without once stepping foot on a vineyard! Well, today the drought was broken and we enjoyed the sweet fruit of the vine (yes Andrew, I stole your phrase in an effort to make you comment) on the grounds it was created! haha. In other words, we went to a couple of wineries.

The Willamette Valley, which is where we are currently staying, just outside of Portland, Oregon has more than a few dozen wineries. So while Meish stayed home to rest her sore knee ( =( ) we checked out a few. It was really quite pretty and the sun even came out for a few moments!!

More Seattle!

Hi Everyone!

How are you? Good I do hope! =) So today we spent another day looking around Seattle, it was an overcast day - as I hear many days around here are, but we made the most of it! We spent quite a bit of time in Pike Markets, a public market that has many, many stalls and stores selling everything from fish to crumpets to healing hemp ointment and earrings. It was indeed a fascinating place.

We also went on a ferry ride around the harbour here, there is a big port where we watched containers being loaded onto a giant ship, staring in awe at what our goods and chattel shall endure on their big trip back home.

Then tonight we ate dinner at the revolving restaurant at the top of the Space Needle, which is this really tall structure with a space-ship like thing at the top that has an observation deck and a restaurant. For you Aussies, think Center Point Tower, only a space ship on the top instead of the shape it is now, what shape would you call it? Perhaps bucket shape?

Anyway, thats it from Seattle for tonight. I'm off to bed!

Hi Everyone!

How are you all? Good I do hope! Well today after taking a lovely bike ride around Kennewick, we set off for Seattle! It was a few hours drive and we stopped for a picnic lunch by a crystal clear river in the Yakima (or something like that) Valley. We arrived in Seattle late afternoon, checked into our hotel and headed down to the water for dinner.

It was Mum's choice for dinner and we had a very scrumptious meal and watched the sun set over the ocean which was a very new experience for us! I'm sure we have seen it somewhere before, but it was just fun to see and of course made for some nice photos. =)

We have two nights here in Seattle which is a welcome relief as we are all going a bit stir crazy with so much car time! Meish and I actually had a water fight in the back of the car the other day, clearly a result of too much time in a closed space!

Hi All,

How are you? Good I do hope! This is just a short update as my tummy is playing up due to the large amount of chocolate cake I had at dinner! Haha.

We spent the day driving from Boise City, Idaho through Oregon and to Kennewick, Washington. We are staying on a little island here with a few restaurants and lots of boats. 'Tis very pretty!

Hi Everyone!

How are you? Good I do hope! =)

We have just returned from the New Plymouth Fair and Rodeo here in Idaho and let me tell you it was a great time! I ate a baked potato and watched some cowboys ride on crazy horses! It was awesome! A very American experience!

Also today we went to the Idaho Potato Museum in Blackfoot, Idaho which amused me probably more than it should! haha. It was one of the things I realllllly wanted to do on this trip and it didn't disappoint!

Rereading yesterday's post there are a few errors in it, so this one will no doubt be just as messy, but i don't mind! I'm on vacation! hehe. Okay, thats it from me tonight - I'm exhausted!

Hi Everyone!

How are you? Good I do hope! We are now in Idaho after spending four amazing days exploring Yellowstone National Park. I must admit going into the park I was a bit skeptical and thought perhaps it was all hype, but I am happy to admit that for me it was totally worth it. I found the scenery in the park stunning, and despite it being the peak season, on several occasions we found ourselves the only people in a giant field etc.

We spent two nights by Old Faithful, an old geyser that erupts around every 90 minutes, and then the other two nights over on the other side of the park. We saw both grizzly and black bears, bison, elk, pronghorns, big horned sheep, whistle pigs, a bald eagle and some others i can't think of right now. We went on a cookout in this spectacular valley which was most tasty!

We went on a bit of a hike and found a bison sitting on our path so then had to walk the long way around to avoid making him angry! Dad went fishing at the lake we hiked too and caught a fish which made him very happy.

That's all I have time to update you with for the moment, we are back in Idaho and everyone is waiting on me to get ready so we can go find some dinner. I have put some pictures below, I am limited in what i can choose from - but I do hope you enjoy what I have to show you!

Hi Everyone!

How are you? Good I do hope! I shall make this post short as we have just returned from a long day of adventuring! This morning we went to the local farmers market and had a bit of a look around and then headed off to a park called "This is the place" it basically recreates life as it was for the founders of the church when they moved out here. It was a lot of fun, we saw a teepee and rode on a kids train...and learnt about the Pony Express which was a mail route used in the 1800's.

Then we headed out to this place Meish found where they have tropical fish and three sharkes in ponds and you can go snorkling and scuba diving! It is really one of the strangest things I have ever seen! The landscape around it is almost totally barren with the giant lake and then these soaring mountains sticking up out of nowhere -- and then a few ponds with tropical fish! Amazing!

While we were adventuring we also saw a salt factory and many salt beds where they evaporate the water off and leave a few inches of salt to harvest. It was actually a really cool site, never ending salt! At one point I hopped out of the car and surried down a bank to get some -- Mum said it tasted salty, I don't think anyone else tried it!

So thats it from us today -- we are heading to Yellowstone National Park tomorrow and I don't think we get internet there...so I shall update when we have internet again!

Hi Everyone!

How are you all? Good I do hope! Well this morning we got up at 4am and flew out here! We arrived a bit after midday and after we grabbed some lunch we headed to Temple Square to have a look around. Salt Lake City is the home of the Church of Jesus Christ and the Later-Day Saints, also known as the Mormons.

They have a 35 acre property in the middle of town with a beautiful temple, administrative buildings, conference centers, meeting halls and STUNNING gardens. It was simply amazing. We had a tour given by two young missionaries who filled us in on what it means to be a Mormon.

We then had dinner in one of the restaurants on their property (without alcohol to dad's dismay! hehe) that had a most impressive view. I'll put some pics below!

Adventures of Diana & I

Hello!

Yesterday Diana and I went adventuring in the city! We went to the Met to see Michelangelo's first painting and then we went and rented a row boat in central park and rowed around for an hour AND then we sat on a rock and Diana got bit by a bug that made her thumb swell up!

Next we went down to the Museum of Modern Art as its free on a friday afternoon! So we met Mum, Dad, Sandra and Peter there and had a look around! I was happy they had the Salvador Dali painting "The Persistence of Memory" I wanted to see but sadly they didn't have the Monet painting Mum was looking for!

Yesterday Whitney and I hit the city with force! We walked around Ground Zero and Wall Street, then up to City Hall and across the Brooklyn Bridge which was spectacular. It was a sunny day but there was a nice breeze so it wasn't too hot walking across the bridge! It was kinda scary in parts as you look down through the cracks between the wood and see the water down below! But the view was worth it!

Then we caught the subway back to the Upper West Side to have afternoon tea in Alice's Tea Cup. Along the way I got poor wjie stuck in a subway door and had to force the doors open to get her out! Im sorry wjie! =/

Then we went back down to Times Square for photos and then across to Bryant Park where we claimed a patch of grass and were slowly joined by everyone until it was dark enough for them to show the movie. In summer they put a giant movie screen and every packs the park to watch the movie. Its a really good time.

This morning Miss Whitney Jane shouted us all to a yummy brunch in the city! We tried a place that we had not been too before, Mum read about it in a magazine, a placed called Giotto. It was super yummy, we got a few ideas for new dishes to make for our brunch! I had an amazing fruit and nut bread and am going to seek out the bakery to see if I can get some more of it!

We also sat outside in the garden which was nice since it was a sunny day. We then had a bit of a wander around, Dad and I went to an electronics store, Mum and Wjt went to have a look at Ground Zero and Meish went home.

New England Adventures

Hi Everyone,

Whitney Jane and Jess here. We thought we would update the blog with some piccies for you. We spent one night in Stockbridge, Massachusetts and then drove back home today via Woodstock, NY.

In Stockbridge we went to the museum of Norman Rockwell, a famous American artist and had some drinks on the lovely porch of where we stayed. Then today we went to Woodstock for some hippie time!

Wandering the Highline Park

Recently New York City has opened up a new park on what use to be an elevated rail road through the city. It is about 3 stories off the ground and runs about 10 blocks long, and has chairs to sit on, plants and even a few look out spots where you can sit and watch the road below.

Mum, Dad, Whitney and I went walking along the park yesterday, and got about half way along and surprise, surprise it started to rain! and not only did, it rain but it poured! So we ran down some stairs and into Chelsea Markets to hide for a little while!

Governors Island & Paterson Falls...

Governors Island

Governors Island is a small island not far from Manhattan

that use to be used by the Defense force and then the Coast Guard.

It was sold to New York City for $1 in 2003!

It was abandoned in 1996 and recently opened to the public

as some sort of national trust space, a lot of it is still very neglected

and you cannot enter many of the buildings, but they have cleared

bike paths around the island and what not! SO Mum, Dad and I

caught the train into the city, the subway to battery park and then

the ferry across to the island and had a good look around!

It was a nice ride around the island, from one side you had a

great view of the statue of liberty, and the other side lower

manhattan (wall street) area. There are replica canons in the old

fort, a prison and lots of houses and the like!

On Saturday we took Diana and went on an adventure to a town not far from us that use to be a thriving area, with several mills, electric generators, a silk factory and an assortment of other factories. Unfortunately it is no longer such a thriving area, but they do still have this waterfall in the middle of it!

Amish Land in Pennsylvania

Hi Everyone!

How are you all? Good I do hope! This week Dad and I took Mum to Lancaster County in Pennsylvania -- known for the Amish Culture.

As always we had a lovely time, it is very peaceful and quiet there, the land is very fertile so the farms flourish. Not to mention the simply amazing quilts and the like available and of course WHOOPIE PIES! haha.

While we were there we went and played mini-golf on this course with waterfalls and fish and little rivers, it was very pretty! There is, of course, lots of photos below!

Here are some photos from my recent adventure off to see Lina in Montauk. Montauk is at the very end of Long Island - about a 3 hr drive from here, its beautiful! Lovely beaches, QUIET and beautiful scenery and just very different from dirty jerzy! haha.

On a Mother's Day Cruise Around Manhattan!

Hi Everyone,

For Mother's Day this year we took Mum on a cruise around Manhattan. We had done it a few years back but Mum decided that now we know the city much better than we did back then we would get much more out of it this time around!

So we cruised around, it was a lovely clear day which was a change as lately we have a had a lot of rain! After we went and had lunch at a Beligan Cafe, and then stopped by Bryant Park to buy cupcakes!

A few weekends ago we all got together and went to Andrew's favorite brewery - Captain Lawrence Brewery in Pleasantville NY! To check it out, click here

It was a really nice day, the brewery was small but we met the owner and had a bit of a tour and might have had one or two tastings of the beers! AS it was one of the first sunny days in awhile we sat outside and had some lunch, only after getting horrendously lost on the way there - with directions, a gps locator and a map we STILL couldn't find out way there easily! It was crazy!

NJ Devils!

Hello All!

I do hope this post finds you all well and in good spirits. =)

I am posting some photos of the Ice-Hockey game Mum, Dad and I went to recently. The team I follow, the NJ Devils made the play offs (semi-finals in Australian) and so they have to play the best of 7 games against the Hurricanes, so far they have played 5 games and the devils lead 3-2. Yay!

So the photos are somewhat self-explanatory, the second one down is the players getting into a big fight, theres a photo of me in the free t-shirt i caught and at the bottom is a short video I took when the devils scored a goal!

Andrew with the amazing b'day cake we made him! hehe...

These photos are from Danielle's birthday party in the city. As you can see she managed to play a soccer game beer and handbag in hand! All class that girl!

I took this photo on my lunch break the other day -- it was a beautiful, clear day but it was SO cold! The photo is of Bryant Park/NY public library.

Here are photos of the Missy Higgins concert Andrew, Naneen and I went to, as usual she was very entertaining! The first opening act was also awesome, the second opening act made us want to stop hearing.

Alex and Audrey! This was for Alex's 11th brithday a few weeks back. I can't believe he is 11 already! But these are the balloons they decorated in honor of his birthday! ehe.

Hi All,

I do hope everyone is well. Lately I have been to the theater across the street several times so I thought I would post some photos of the events I've been too. The first one was the NJ Youth Symphony in which we know the very talented Trumpet player! They are the first two photos, Mum and Julie at the concert and then the orchestra, unfortunately my zoom was not good enough to get a photo of Chris on stage, but it was a very impressive performance! If you scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post I have attached a video clip of the performance, just press the play arrow in the middle of the bottom picture and it should play for you!

Then just the other night Seli, Mum and I went to a Jose Carreraes concert - he was one of the three Tenors. He did an amazing job so it was a lovely concert! Seli and Mum stayed after the concert and stood by his car so that when he came out they met him and go him to sign a ticket! haha. they were pretty excited about it!

The last photo is of the first day of spring, yes thats right folks we work up on the first day of spring to snow! haha. I was not very impressed as I trudged off to the bus stop but thankfully it was warm enough that the snow just melted away when it hit the ground. Mum took this photo off our balcony of all the trees covered in the snow. It was apparently very pretty!

Hi All,

First of all let me say that I had not been updating the blog as Nan has been over here with us and I was under the assumption that she was the only one who really read the blog, however, since its been MONTHS since I updated there have been several of you appear from the woodwork and complain that I have not been updating! haha. SO here I am. Updating for you all to read and not comment. =P

This weekend Meish was a model in the FIT vs. Parsons Fusion Fashion show, an annual competition between the junior designers at the two big design schools in the city (FIT and Parsons). Meish, as always, did an amazing job - she had 6 different designers to show for, and there were 5 shows in total. A very hectic two days! SO now that I sound like one of those letters proud parents send around with their christmas cards I am going to go....

Below is a collection of photos of the different outfit Meish wore. My favorite is the bottom photo - a pirate like outfit, the designer of this outfit actually got voted best designer!

Ice-hockey!!

Dad and I went to the ice-hockey on the weekend and so I will put some photos of the event bellow! Unfortunately the devils lost but we had some awesome sweats so the game was still good =)

Hi All,

How are you all? Good I do hope! Everything is going okay here...the weather is starting to cool down and so the leaves are changing...Dad and I went for a drive today to find a shop that sold wine fridges and while we were driving I tired to take photos of the leaves but they just ended up blurred! SO I have put the only non-blurred photo bellow - sadly it does not have some of the other brilliant colors we saw.

I will also put up some photos from Halloween! There is one of me and my friend Danielle when we went out last night. There are a few photos of Alex and Audrey dressed up, one of Sheldon in the outfit he picked me up from the train in and one of the awesome pumpkins we carved! Mine is the funny looking bat at the bottom centre of the picture!
